Curtis Hlushak

Discipline: Physiatry

Dr. Hlushak completed an undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of Calgary (2000), medical school at the University of Sydney (2006), a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Science at the University of Alberta (2009), residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Alberta (2012) and a Diploma in Sport and Exercise Medicine through the Canadian Academy for Sport and Exercise Medicine (2014).

 

Dr. Hlushak is a clinical lecturer in the Department of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta. He is also a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and is trained in fluoroscopy and ultrasound interventional procedures for pain management.

 

Dr. Hlushak’s clinical interests include all aspects of musculoskeletal and sport medicine. He is a firm believer in the role of physical activity and exercise to prevent and treat chronic disease. Dr. Hlushak is also a team physician for the NAIT Ooks Men’s hockey team and Edmonton Oil Kings hockey team.
